Remember how I said that we sounded better than combine choir?
And I have been thinking, and thinking, and thinking....what is the secret.
Remember how I said SCC is a good choir with bad diction?
I heard it with my own ears!
yeah....but the mic was not on and the church was empty.
AHA!!!!
The magic was in the CONDENSOR MICROPHONES!!!!!!!
You know those innocent mics hanging over the heads of the choir?
There lies the MAGIC.
SCC has the beauty of having mostly adults with full and matured voices.
The ladies voices blended excellently with the robust male voices.
So all that comment of having to sing loudly, organ playing softer....
All that is not neccesary.
Because at practise, the mics are not on.
AHA!!!
No wonder we always feel so uplifted by our voices compared to practise.
The mics were on!

So maybe there is HOPE yet for Christmas singing.
The mics will be on!
