Novenas

Do numbers play a role?
Yep it does.
A big choir can definitely generate more hype to the music when the church is packed.
A small showing can erode the confidence level in the singing.

Do musicians play a role?
Yep it does.
If the choir is small, then a confident musician can help save the day.

Does the conductor matter?
Yes and no.
The conductor needs to check ahead what is required to be sung.
We have visiting priests, visiting sermon givers......definitely different styles.
Thurs....they did not know that the Gloria was to be sung....so there was some scrambling behind when the priest asks for the Gloria which the choir omitted.
No....because, ultimately the group of singers and the instrumentalists are sort of on auto pilot anyway.
