Book Review: Secrets of Self-made millionaires

Money is like fire, whether it is good or bad really depends on the user. Remember a few years back there was a movie by a local producer called 'money not enough'? Well we can all attest to that feeling. Well, stop feeling like a victim and get proactive about it.

The principle message that I got out of this book is this: work with PASSION. Make that passion into a money creating force. Then increase savings, reduce spendings, and make the money work for you to get even more money.

Most people get the impression that the desire to be a millionaire stems from a worship of money and work. Then that will be a mirage because the millionaire is actually a slave and servant to his ambition to get rich. I don't want to be like that. A long time ago, I said to myself that I don't want to make WORK the objective of my LIVING.

Now finding a career that is also one's PASSION. That changes the focus onto the Passion. By creating value for others out of that passion...it is as if the money comes as an afterthought to the success of working with passion. The passion is 'other' focused not 'money' focused. Well, technically that should be the initial intentions.

Building wealth...
The book talks about the concept of attaining FINANCIAL FREEDOM. Definitely relevant now that the govenment is talking about upping the retirement age, and age that we can withdraw our CPF. Definitely something to start planning now if you are a young adult or a not so young adult.

A good read with many ideas worth mulling over and put into application.
