Updates on C.....

Passion and P and nick's mom and dad were at the hospital visiting C.
C is recovering well:-)
Anyway, looks like she'll miss the entire holy week celebration.

Eyes rolling....

I don't like how CHRIST BE OUR LIGHT is done.
Jazz chords, uncoordinated flute playing and throw in the yamaha electone only produces a cacophony of sounds close to noise that mutilates the beauty of the words in this piece of music.
I have decided to opt out of the electone. Let's have one style. And if it is jazz chords with funky blues and unresolved 7ths....so be it.

I don't like the dom cha in GLORY IN THE CROSS.
If the style was for dom cha ala disco style, we might as well add beats and guitars. There is a time for classical beauty and there is a time for beats and what nots. It would be more appropriate to follow the style and original intent of the composer on how this piece is to be sung. It is helpful to listen to the CD that each of us musicians were given ahead of time.

I don't like the way responsarial psalms are done. I still advocate simplicity because we are leading congregations response. The 4-part singing, the pop tunes, the fast tempos detract the bottomline.

hmmm....
Turn the tables around; maybe people out there also don't like the way I play HALLELUIAH, MASS ORDINARIES....etc.

Concensus....

The final decision goes to the Director of CC.
