Divorce and the Catholic Church...
Relativism vs Realism....
The norm or an absurb utopic ideal?
I went out with a bunch of ex-colleague yesterday. And the topic of Divorce came up.
All 3 of us are single, and the 4th, a recently single-again divorcee.
Over a scrumptous dinner, washed down with a pint of beer....conversations flowed.
So here I am, the only Gospel these people are ever going to read in their life.....
"What God has joined together; let no man put asunder."
What is God asking of us meagre fallible humans in our relationships to our spouse?
What about the sactity of the marital vow?
"in sickness and in health; in good times and in bad; to love and cherish till death do us part."
Are these words uttered in vain?
***
But you have NOT met the person yet. All this scenerio is going to change when you meet the right person, and that person happens to be a divorcee.....
....and here I am an open Gospel, all eyes wide open, waiting to see me FALL!
