The existence of SUPEREGOS....

Of course speaking as a mini-superego (notice the oxymoron),
Superegos exist really to make our lives better!
Yep, better.

1. They run the show, which means the rest get to sit back.
2. They are stubborn, they help you to build up your tolerance level as you are forced to live up to the commandment, "love thy enemy"
3. In the real world, one learns when to open mouth and when to shut mouth. Do likewise to superego, and an invaluable lesson is learnt for life.
4. Superegos do listen if you say something to them that is worth listening to.
Eg. According to the bible, Jesus teaches...........
Eg. Father says, ............
Eg. From one superego to another, lets try this out, .............

Changing registration on the instrument.....
I thought the idea of pre-planning the styles of each piece that we are going to sing worked out remarkably well last week.

Tips for improvement:
In between each piece, the conductor and ALL INSTRUMENTALISTS give everybody some time in between to get ready.

Choir members need to get to the right score.
The yamaha organ needs to change settings, and I usually write down what number those settings are.
For trainer to give general instructions over the mike, which means, no talking and playing at times when it is called for to LISTEN.

Sometimes we are so busy CHARGING AHEAD of others, we need an in-house 'courtessy campaign' to POLITELY WAIT for people to be ready, even when we ourselves are ready and can't understand why others are so slow.....
