All Saints Day!

Happy all saints day everyone.

So are you living a balanced life? Father's sermon was how the saints balanced their life of charity with a life of prayer. I guess I am guilty of not spending enough quality in a state of prayer. I read the day's readings and my bible companion "Word among Us", and then I go to sleep! Last time in my guided prayer session, the prayer guides actually encourage us to take 10 minutes to quieten down, 10 min to read, and 10 min to contemplate and listen.
AND...
If you use Jesus prayer model, he prayed the whole night!

We have no prob being on the computer the whole night, typing out that term paper, or finishing up a project, or talking on MSN, but pray the whole night?

I attended a retreat by the verben dei sisters where we stayed awake the whole of Holy Thursday. It was fun because, every hour there was activities. We read the bible, the nuns gave talks, there was singing, we had activities with a bonfire in the garden, and we took an early morning walk to labrador park and sang hymns as we watched the sun rise.

I need to work on my prayer. Maybe I am destined to be a worm of a soul rather than a holy saint? All you holy men and women, PRAY FOR US!
