Sermon Reflection
28th Ordinary Sunday
Fr. Albert shared about how he went fishing. He couldn't get on with his fishing because all those stupid ladies keep getting their fishing lines tangled and had had to help them and then he could get on to what he really really enjoyed doing. Stupid! And then upon reflection, he realised that he was angry and selfish. But what he should have done is to help those ladies because it was more important to LOVE God and love his neighbours. And all he could do was to think about himself and his fishing.

There were tears in my eyes when I heard that sermon. I can relate to that sharing.
But like Fr. Al, I am very very aware that most of the time when I get angry, it really is more about me than about the other person.

Today I learn that we are so fortunate to have 2 very humble priests. When they make a mistake, they are able to stand at the podium and preach through their personal experience.
Even Charles said at the end of mass, "today's sermon was very good huh?"
I think that is a rhetorical question that needs no answer.
